Catorce heridos en un choque múltiple con un semirremolque en la autopista de Florida

Palm Beach County, FL (June 4, 2025) — A violent four-vehicle collision involving a semi-truck on the Florida Turnpike left 14 people injured Wednesday afternoon and prompted a mass casualty response from emergency crews, according to Palm Beach County Fire Rescue.

Incident Details: The crash occurred around 1:00 p.m. near the Atlantic Avenue interchange and involved a semi-truck hauling vehicles, two SUVs, and a minivan. The collision shut down all southbound lanes of the Turnpike as first responders worked to assess the scene and provide aid. Authorities confirmed that two additional vehicles were present but were not directly involved in the crash.

Emergency responders quickly declared the situation a mass casualty event, triggering a larger emergency response protocol and notifying area hospitals to prepare for multiple incoming patients. Fourteen individuals were ultimately reported injured, one of whom required transport to a trauma center. At least 10 emergency vehicles and 25 responders were involved in the rescue and recovery efforts.

Investigation and Legal Considerations: Authorities continue investigating the cause of the crash. They will examine whether any of the drivers were speeding, following too closely, or failing to respond to traffic conditions, as well as driver conduct, load safety, and roadway conditions.

Pending the outcome of the investigation, the injured parties may be eligible to pursue personal injury claims to recover damages for medical expenses, lost wages, and long-term effects of physical or emotional trauma.

I hope for a full recovery for all 14 individuals injured in this serious collision.
