EAGAN, MN (July 12, 2025) – A crash between a semi-truck and a passenger vehicle at Lexington Avenue and Gemini Road sent four people to the hospital late Saturday night, according to the Eagan Police Department.
Accident Details: The collision occurred at approximately 10:06 p.m. Authorities say a semi-truck was traveling southbound on Lexington Avenue when the driver attempted to turn east onto Gemini Road. During the turn, the semi failed to yield to a northbound Honda sedan, resulting in a crash.
All four occupants of the Honda sedan sustained injuries of varying severity. Emergency responders transported them to Regions Hospital for treatment. Their current conditions have not been released.
The driver of the semi-truck sustained minor injuries but declined medical attention at the scene. Police cited the truck driver for failing to yield the right of way.
The Burnsville Fire Department, Eagan Police, and MHealth medics responded to the crash scene.
Investigation and Legal Considerations: The Eagan Police Department continues to investigate the incident. Semi-truck drivers are held to a high safety standard, especially when executing turns that could place them in the path of oncoming traffic. Failing to yield at intersections is a leading cause of commercial vehicle collisions.
Victims of trucking accidents often face significant medical bills, time away from work, and long-term recovery needs. Injured passengers may have legal options to pursue compensation for damages related to the crash.
We send our thoughts to the injured individuals and wish them a full and speedy recovery.
