Redding, CA (April 15, 2025) – A two-vehicle crash in Redding on Monday evening sent both drivers to the hospital and led to DUI charges against one of them.
Incident Details: According to Redding Police, the crash occurred around 6:10 p.m. in the area of Hilltop Drive and Sunset Drive. A Subaru traveling southbound on Hilltop Drive crossed into the northbound lane and collided head-on with a Ford traveling north. The driver of the Ford suffered moderate injuries and was transported to a local hospital for treatment. The Subaru driver also sustained injuries and was taken to the hospital.
Investigation and Legal Considerations: Officers determined that the Subaru driver was under the influence at the time of the crash. DUI charges will be filed following medical treatment. Authorities continue to investigate the exact circumstances of the collision, including toxicology reports and roadway factors.
