Sun Valley, CA (March 18, 2025) – A 24-year-old driver was killed Tuesday evening in a multi-vehicle crash on Lankershim Boulevard, just north of the 5 Freeway. Authorities are investigating what caused the driver to veer into oncoming traffic.
Incident Details: According to police, the crash occurred just before 7 p.m. when surveillance footage captured a silver sedan traveling northbound before suddenly veering left into the southbound lanes. The sedan collided with a box truck, which then struck a parked car, while the sedan crashed into another parked vehicle. The driver of the silver sedan was pronounced dead at the scene. No other injuries were reported. Authorities have not yet released the victim’s name.
Investigation and Legal Considerations: Head-on collisions often raise concerns about potential factors such as distracted driving, mechanical failure, or medical emergencies. Investigators will likely review traffic camera footage, vehicle data, and road conditions to determine the cause of the crash.
