Colorado Springs, CO (June 9, 2025) – A fatal crash shut down Highway 115 on Monday afternoon after a collision involving a pickup truck left one person dead, according to the Colorado State Patrol.
Incident Details: Authorities reported that the crash occurred just after 1:00 p.m. near Fort Carson’s Gate 5. The collision involved a pickup truck and another vehicle under circumstances still being determined. One person was pronounced dead at the scene. Highway 115 was closed in both directions for several hours to allow for emergency response and investigation.
Investigation and Legal Considerations: The Colorado State Patrol is leading the investigation and has not yet confirmed the cause of the crash.
