Una pareja de ancianos resulta herida al chocar un semirremolque contra una Inicio en Utah

Wellington, UT (May 12, 2025) — A semi-truck hauling a tanker full of crude oil crashed through a home in Wellington early Monday morning, seriously injuring an elderly couple and damaging multiple properties along its path, according to the Utah Highway Patrol.

Incident Details: The crash occurred just after 6:00 a.m. on May 12 when the commercial truck left the roadway and struck six parked vehicles at a nearby auto repair shop before continuing through a utility pole, fire hydrant, fencing, and an open field. The semi ultimately plowed into a home occupied by an elderly couple and a 12-year-old boy.

The couple was transported to a local hospital and then flown to a secondary facility for further treatment. Both occupants of the semi-truck were also hospitalized. One sustained serious injuries, while the other was treated for moderate injuries. Their current conditions have not been disclosed. The boy, who was asleep in the front room at the time of the crash, was uninjured but taken to the hospital as a precaution.

Investigation and Legal Considerations: Authorities have not yet released a cause for the crash, but the investigation will likely examine driver error, vehicle malfunction, speed, and whether the operator complied with commercial safety regulations.

Depending on the investigation’s findings, the injured parties, including the homeowners, may have grounds to pursue personal injury claims or property damage compensation.

I hope for the full recovery of the injured couple and others affected by this crash.
