Monmouth, IL (May 16, 2025) — A respected Peoria physician, Dr. Syed Imam, was killed Thursday afternoon in a collision with a tractor-trailer along U.S. Route 67 near 185th Avenue in Monmouth, according to the Warren County Coroner’s Office.
Incident Details: The fatal crash occurred around 2:30 p.m. on May 15. Dr. Imam, who was behind the wheel of a passenger vehicle, was involved in a deadly collision with a semi-truck. The Illinois State Police have confirmed the incident and are actively investigating the cause of the crash. No further details regarding how the collision occurred have yet been released.
