FRESNO COUNTY, CA (July 10, 2025) – A two-vehicle crash at the intersection of DeWolf and South avenues claimed the life of 34-year-old Brian Sepe of Clovis, according to the Fresno County Coroner’s Office.
Accident Details: The collision occurred at 2:35 p.m. when Sepe, driving a Subaru northbound on DeWolf Avenue, failed to stop at the intersection with South Avenue. His vehicle collided with a Ford driven by a 55-year-old man from Parlier, who was traveling east on South Avenue, where there is no stop sign.
Sepe was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the Ford sustained moderate injuries and was transported for medical treatment.
The California Highway Patrol confirmed that both drivers were wearing seat belts at the time of the crash. Investigators do not believe alcohol or drugs played a role in the incident.
Investigation and Legal Considerations: The California Highway Patrol is continuing to investigate the crash. In right-of-way collisions at intersections, authorities typically assess driver attentiveness, signage visibility, and whether any roadway conditions contributed to the crash.
Fatal intersection crashes often raise questions about road design, traffic control, and possible civil claims. Surviving victims may seek compensation for medical expenses and other damages, even when fault is attributed to one of the involved parties.
We extend our condolences to the family and loved ones of Brian Sepe and wish the injured driver a full recovery.
