NAPA, CA (July 14, 2025) – A woman was critically injured Monday evening after being struck by a pickup truck while riding her bicycle at the intersection of Highway 221 (Soscol Avenue) and Imola Avenue, according to the Napa Police Department.
Accident Details: The crash occurred around 6:00 p.m. and involved a gray Dodge Ram 5500. The pickup was traveling through the busy commercial intersection when it struck the bicyclist.
Emergency responders transported the cyclist to a nearby hospital with critical injuries. Her current condition has not been updated.

Investigation and Legal Considerations: The Napa Police Department is investigating the crash. Bicycle collisions with motor vehicles often raise questions about right of way, visibility, and safe passing distances. In intersections like Imola and Soscol, investigators will likely review traffic signals, vehicle speed, and roadway design.
Bicyclists who suffer serious injuries in collisions may have legal options to pursue compensation for medical expenses, rehabilitation, and other damages if driver negligence contributed to the crash.
We send our best wishes to the injured cyclist and hope for her full recovery.
