Sheridan, WY (August 14, 2025) – A 95-year-old man struck by a semi-truck while operating a motorized wheelchair in Sheridan has died from his injuries.
Accident Details: The crash occurred at approximately 2:47 p.m. at the intersection of W. Loucks and S. Brooks Streets. Authorities said the man was in the roadway when the truck struck him.
He was transported by ambulance to Memorial Hospital, but on Monday, August 18, he succumbed to his injuries.
The victim’s identity has not yet been released. Sheridan police said the complete investigation will be submitted to the Sheridan County Attorney’s Office for review.
Investigation and Legal Considerations: Authorities will examine the layout of W. Loucks and S. Brooks Streets, including visibility, traffic controls, and whether either party had the right of way. They will also consider whether visibility, speed, or distraction contributed.
