Eight Injured After Three-Car Crash Sends Vehicle Into Building in North St. Louis

St. Louis, MO (April 18, 2025) – Eight people were injured Thursday night in a three-vehicle crash at an intersection in north St. Louis, including six who were hospitalized in serious condition, according to the St. Louis Fire Department.

Accident Details: The crash occurred around 9:30 p.m. at the intersection of Enright Avenue and North Vandeventer Avenue, near Cardinal Ritter High School and the Juvenile Detention Center. Authorities say three vehicles were involved, with one rolling over and another crashing into a nearby building.

Six people sustained serious injuries and were transported to the hospital. Two others were hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries. Officials have not yet released the identities of those involved.

Legal Considerations: Crashes at busy intersections often involve questions of right-of-way, speeding, or traffic signal violations. Investigators will likely review surveillance footage, interview witnesses, and examine vehicle positions to determine the sequence of events and who may be at fault.

If any of the drivers are found responsible for causing the crash through negligence or reckless behavior, injured parties may have the right to pursue civil claims for medical treatment, lost income, and other damages.

Ongoing Investigation: The St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department is investigating the crash. The city’s Building Division was also called in to assess structural damage caused by the vehicle that crashed into the building. No citations or arrests have been announced at this time.

I hope all eight individuals involved receive the treatment they need and make a strong recovery.
