Santa Clarita, CA (May 20, 2025) – An off-duty Los Angeles County sheriff’s deputy was killed Monday morning in a solo-vehicle crash along San Francisquito Canyon Road.
Incident Details: The collision occurred around 9 a.m. in the 36000 block of San Francisquito Canyon Road. Authorities say the deputy was driving a white sedan when, for reasons still unknown, the vehicle veered off the road and crashed. Emergency personnel responded to the scene and pronounced the deputy dead at the scene.
Investigation and Legal Considerations: The California Highway Patrol is investigating the cause of the crash. Investigators will assess potential contributing factors such as driver fatigue, speed, road conditions, or vehicle malfunction. No other vehicles were involved, and the investigation remains ongoing.
