Creig Terbush, Manuel Lara Injured in Fiery Three-Vehicle Crash in Ohio

Concord Township, Ohio (November 3, 2025) — Troopers with the Ohio State Highway Patrol are investigating a fiery crash that left three people injured early Monday morning on Interstate 90 near the Ohio 44 interchange. The collision involved two commercial trucks and a tow vehicle, which shut down portions of the highway for several hours.

Incident Details: According to investigators, the crash occurred around 5:48 a.m. when a Freightliner commercial truck driven by 65-year-old Creig Terbush of Tucson, Arizona, was traveling eastbound in the left lane. At the same time, an International truck operated by 37-year-old Justin Boesch of Erie, Pennsylvania, attempted a U-turn in the eastbound lanes. The Freightliner struck the International, triggering a chain reaction that caused both trucks to catch fire.

After the initial impact, the Freightliner collided with an unoccupied Peterbilt heavy wrecker tow truck parked on the right berm and continued off the south side of the highway. Emergency crews arrived quickly to battle the flames and transport three injured individuals to nearby hospitals for treatment. Their current conditions have not been released.

Investigation: The Ohio State Highway Patrol’s crash reconstruction unit continues to investigate the cause of the crash. Authorities are reviewing physical evidence and data from onboard systems to determine why the International truck attempted the U-turn and whether it complied with commercial vehicle safety regulations.

U-turns across interstate lanes are typically restricted due to the high risk they pose to oncoming traffic. Investigators are expected to evaluate factors such as visibility, lighting, and driver decision-making to establish whether negligence or mechanical issues played a role.

Legal Considerations: Collisions involving multiple commercial trucks often present complex questions of liability, particularly when improper maneuvers occur on high-speed roadways. Under Ohio law, commercial drivers must maintain reasonable control of their vehicles and avoid unsafe movements that endanger others.

If investigators determine that the U-turn violated traffic safety laws or federal trucking regulations, the company operating the International truck could face civil liability for damages. Consulting an attorney experienced in truck accident cases can help preserve and properly evaluate evidence, such as driver logs, vehicle data, and maintenance records.

Mr. Terbush and Mr. Lara may have grounds to pursue personal injury claims to recover medical expenses, lost wages, and compensation for pain and suffering.

We extend our thoughts to all those injured in this serious collision and wish them a full and swift recovery.
