Conecuh County, AL (October 14, 2025) – Sixty-five-year-old Evelyn Ryals Green was killed Monday evening when her vehicle collided with a tractor-trailer in Conecuh County, according to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency.
Accident Details: Officials said the crash occurred around 5:45 p.m. on Alabama Highway 41 near the 45-mile marker, just outside of Evergreen. Green was driving a 2014 Toyota Camry when her vehicle collided head-on with a 2018 Freightliner tractor-trailer. The impact caused catastrophic damage to both vehicles. Green was pronounced dead at the scene. The truck driver was not injured and remained on site as authorities conducted their investigation. The highway was closed for several hours while emergency crews documented the scene and cleared wreckage.
Investigation: Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s Highway Patrol Division are leading the investigation. They are analyzing roadway evidence, vehicle damage, and witness statements to determine how the collision occurred.
