Cincinnati, OH (May 26, 2025) – A 20-year-old motorcyclist remains hospitalized with life-threatening injuries after crashing into a tractor-trailer Monday afternoon in the Riverside neighborhood of Cincinnati, according to police.
Accident Details: The collision occurred at approximately 3:43 p.m. at the intersection of River Road (US-50) and Anderson Ferry Road. A 59-year-old man was operating an eastbound tractor-trailer on River Road and attempted to turn left onto Anderson Ferry Road. As he made the turn, a westbound motorcycle struck the side of the truck.
The motorcyclist, who was wearing a helmet at the time, sustained critical injuries in the impact and was transported to UC Medical Center for emergency treatment. Authorities have not released the injured rider’s name.
The driver of the tractor-trailer was not hurt in the crash.
Legal Considerations: Crashes involving motorcycles and semi trucks often lead to severe injuries due to the difference in size and protection. In Ohio, injured motorcyclists may be entitled to pursue compensation for hospital bills, future care needs, lost income, and pain depending on the findings of the investigation.

The intersection remained partially blocked for a period Monday afternoon as crews cleared the wreckage and collected evidence from the scene. Police have asked anyone who witnessed the crash or has relevant footage to contact investigators.
