San Luis Obispo County, CA (July 28, 2025) – A two-year-old child was hospitalized with major injuries Sunday afternoon after being struck by a truck at Mustang Waterpark in San Luis Obispo County.
Accident Details: According to Cal Fire SLO, the incident occurred around 3:00 p.m. in the parking lot of the waterpark, located at Lopez Lake Recreation Area. A truck ran over the child while maneuvering in the lot. Emergency crews responded immediately, and the child was airlifted to a local hospital.
The driver remained on scene and cooperated with authorities.
