Calvin Harris Injured in Los Angeles Car Crash While En Route to Airport

LOS ANGELES, CA (October 18, 2025) – International DJ and producer Calvin Harris sustained minor injuries late Friday night in a car accident in Los Angeles while en route to the airport, prompting the cancellation of multiple scheduled appearances.

Accident Details: The incident occurred around 11:00 p.m. when a Volkswagen Bug reportedly veered across the center divider and collided with a Cadillac SUV transporting Harris as a passenger. The vehicle was en route to Los Angeles International Airport when the crash happened.

Emergency personnel arrived at the scene and transported Harris to a nearby hospital for treatment of a minor nasal injury. According to reports, Harris left the hospital shortly after arrival, reportedly against medical advice due to the unavailability of a private room. He has since returned to his home in Beverly Hills and is under rest per physician guidance.

As a result of the crash, Harris canceled his scheduled DJ set at Omnia Nightclub in Las Vegas and withdrew from the Hangout Music Festival. His team released a statement confirming his injuries were not serious but that he would take several days off to recover.

Investigation: Authorities in Los Angeles are continuing to investigate the cause of the accident. Early details suggest that the driver of the Volkswagen crossed into oncoming traffic, causing the head-on collision. Investigators have not released information about whether impairment, distraction, mechanical failure, or weather conditions may have contributed to the crash.

Further evaluation of roadway surveillance footage, witness statements, and forensic vehicle evidence will likely be part of the ongoing investigation. No arrests or citations have been announced at this time.

Legal Considerations: Because Harris was a passenger in the Cadillac SUV and not operating a vehicle at the time of the crash, he may have legal recourse if the other driver is found liable. Injured passengers are often entitled to compensation for medical expenses, lost income, pain and suffering, and disruptions to professional obligations.

Given that Harris had to cancel high-profile performances, there may also be financial implications beyond physical injury. An insurance claim or civil action could potentially address losses related to these missed engagements if negligence or recklessness is determined on the part of the at-fault driver.

Passengers injured in non-fault accidents are encouraged to seek legal consultation to understand their rights under California personal injury law.

We wish Calvin Harris a speedy and full recovery.
