Infant Involved in Rollover Crash Near Bracut Prompts Emergency Response and Extrication

Bracut, CA (June 10, 2025) – Emergency crews rushed to a serious rollover crash on northbound Highway 101 near Bracut Tuesday afternoon, involving at least one black pickup and possibly a second vehicle.

Incident Details: The crash occurred around 4:32 p.m. near Koa Drive. A black pickup truck rolled over, and the driver was reportedly trapped inside. Emergency radio traffic indicated the presence of an infant in the vehicle, triggering a large-scale response from Arcata Fire, Samoa Fire, Blue Lake Fire, and Arcata Ambulance. One vehicle sustained major front and side damage, and an extrication was required to remove the trapped occupant.

Investigation and Legal Considerations: The California Highway Patrol confirmed the involvement of a second vehicle, but the cause of the collision remains under investigation. No immediate information on the number or severity of injuries has been released.
