Victorville, CA (April 15, 2025) – A serious multi-vehicle crash involving a box truck, a semi-truck, and a pickup resulted in the box truck driver being airlifted from the scene Tuesday morning.
Incident Details: The collision occurred around 7:06 a.m. on the northbound Interstate 15, just north of Stoddard Wells Road. According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash involved a white Freightliner box truck, a black semi-truck with a flatbed trailer, and a silver Dodge pickup truck. The box truck driver became trapped in the vehicle and required extrication. A medical helicopter landed on the freeway and airlifted the injured driver to a trauma center. The extent of the injuries was not immediately released. No other injuries were reported.
Investigation and Legal Considerations: Authorities are actively investigating the cause of the crash. Factors under consideration include the speed of each vehicle, road conditions, and whether driver error or mechanical failure played a role. CHP officers are also expected to examine dashcam footage and witness statements as part of the ongoing inquiry.
