The victim was identified as Benjamin Lo Cicero, 34, who was pronounced dead at the scene.
Incident Details: The crash occurred around 11:40 p.m. in the 900 block of West San Marcos Boulevard. Authorities said Lo Cicero was struck by a Ford F-150 driven by Daniel Vega, 54. Emergency responders arrived but were unable to save Lo Cicero, who died at the scene from his injuries.
Sheriff’s officials stated that Vega was under the influence of alcohol at the time of the incident and was arrested for driving under the influence. Investigators emphasized that, at this stage, the DUI arrest has not been formally linked to the cause of the collision. The investigation into the precise circumstances of the crash remains ongoing.
