Eagan, MN (June 20, 2025) — A four-vehicle chain-reaction collision on Interstate 35E near Eagan left one woman seriously injured Friday afternoon, according to the Minnesota State Patrol.
Incident Details: The crash occurred shortly before 4:41 p.m. as four vehicles were traveling northbound on I-35E. Troopers say the driver of an International MV607 box truck rear-ended a Ford Escape, sending it into the right shoulder. The truck then struck a Chevrolet C10, which was pushed into a Ford F-150 ahead of it.
The driver of the Ford Escape, a 54-year-old woman from South St. Paul, suffered serious injuries and was transported to Regions Hospital for treatment. The driver of the Chevrolet C10, a 50-year-old man from Robert, Wisconsin, sustained non-life-threatening injuries. No other injuries were reported.
Investigation and Legal Considerations: While the investigation is ongoing, Investigators will assess vehicle data, road conditions, and whether the box truck was operating within legal weight and speed limits at the time. They will also examine whether driver conduct, such as distraction or failure to maintain a safe following distance, played a role in the collision.
Pending the outcome of the investigation, the seriously injured woman and the other driver may have grounds to pursue a personal injury claim, including compensation for medical expenses, pain and suffering, and potential long-term effects.
Wishing a full and swift recovery to all individuals affected by this crash.
