Semi-Truck Driver Sought After Hit-and-Run Crash on Wyoming Highway 789

Fremont County, WY (April 26, 2025) – Authorities are searching for the driver of a semi-truck who fled the scene after a hit-and-run crash on Wyoming Highway 789 near Lander.

Incident Details: According to the Wyoming Highway Patrol, the incident occurred Friday afternoon on Highway 789. A semi-truck collided with a smaller vehicle, causing significant damage. Fortunately, no serious injuries were reported, though occupants of the smaller vehicle were evaluated at the scene. After the collision, the semi-truck driver failed to stop and continued northbound without providing any assistance or information.

Investigation and Legal Considerations: The Wyoming Highway Patrol is actively investigating the crash, reviewing nearby surveillance footage and speaking with witnesses to identify the truck and its driver. Leaving the scene of an accident is a serious offense, and the driver could face felony charges depending on the outcome of the investigation.
