Semi-Truck Involved in Fatal Crash in Walworth County

Walworth County, WI (July 3, 2025) – A 47-year-old man was killed Thursday afternoon when his SUV collided with a semi-truck near Highway 14 and County Highway K in the town of Sharon.

Accident Details: The crash occurred around 4:10 p.m. as the SUV was traveling east on Highway 14 and attempted to make a left turn onto County Highway K. According to the Walworth County Sheriff’s Office, the SUV entered the path of a westbound semi-truck and was struck. The SUV driver, who was not wearing a seat belt, was partially ejected and pronounced dead at the scene. The semi-truck driver was injured and transported to a nearby hospital.

Investigation and Legal Considerations: The Walworth County Sheriff’s Office and Wisconsin State Patrol are investigating the incident. Authorities will review whether failure to yield, speed, or other factors contributed to the crash. In Wisconsin, commercial truck drivers are held to high safety standards. If negligence is found, surviving family members may have grounds to file a wrongful death claim.

I extend my deepest condolences to the family and loved ones of the man who lost his life in this crash.
