Los Angeles, CA (August 4, 2025) — Two people were killed Monday afternoon in a head-on collision in the Shadow Hills neighborhood of Los Angeles, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.
Incident Details: The crash occurred at approximately 3:45 p.m. on Wentworth Street, west of Wheatland Avenue. LAFD crews arrived to find two victims still trapped in the wreckage of their vehicles, which appeared to have collided head-on and remained interlocked. Both individuals were pronounced dead at the scene. No other injuries were reported.
Authorities have not yet confirmed whether the victims were the drivers of the vehicles involved, and their identities will be released pending notification of next of kin.
Investigation and Legal Considerations: The cause of the crash is under investigation. Authorities will assess whether excessive speed, lane departure, driver distraction, or impairment played a role.
