Dumont Dunes, CA (November 10, 2024) – On Sunday, November 10, 2024, 45-year-old Levi R. Fackrell of Las Vegas, Nevada, was tragically killed in an off-road vehicle accident at Dumont Dunes in unincorporated San Bernardino County.
Accident Details: The accident, which also injured three passengers, occurred at approximately 1:30 PM and involved a 2020 Jeep Gladiator. According to the California Highway Patrol (CHP) Barstow Area, Fackrell was driving the Jeep Gladiator northbound in the Dumont Dunes off-highway vehicle area when he lost control of the vehicle. The Jeep veered off a steep dirt embankment, struck the ground with its front, and overturned onto its roof.
Fackrell sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene. Three passengers—a 41-year-old woman and two children, aged 8 and 7, all from Las Vegas—suffered minor injuries. Emergency responders transported them to Sunrise Medical Center in Las Vegas for treatment.
