Lakeside, CA (July 5, 2024) – On the afternoon of July 5, 2024, a devastating accident occurred on State Route 67 (SR-67) in Lakeside, resulting in the tragic death of 52-year-old Mark Allen Tieso.
Accident Details: Witnesses observed Tieso attempting to cross SR-67 when an SUV traveling southbound, initially in the number one lane, shifted into the number two lane and collided with him. Despite prompt 911 calls and the rapid response of California Highway Patrol (CHP) and rescue personnel, all efforts to revive Tieso were unsuccessful. Tieso was pronounced dead at the scene. The CHP is in charge of the investigation.
