Timothy Marques Identified as Victim in Fatal Motorcycle Crash in Sherman Oaks

Sherman Oaks, CA (May 7, 2025) — A motorcyclist who died in a collision Sunday night in Sherman Oaks has been identified as 41-year-old Timothy Marques, a local resident and motorcycle enthusiast, according to the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner.

Incident Details: The fatal crash occurred around 8:55 p.m. on May 4 at the intersection of Ventura Boulevard and Greenbush Avenue. According to the Los Angeles Police Department, Marques was riding his motorcycle westbound in the far-left lane when he collided with a vehicle making a left turn onto Ventura Boulevard from Greenbush Avenue. First responders arrived on the scene and pronounced Marques dead.

Another individual involved in the crash was transported to a nearby hospital. The condition of the person, believed to be the driver of the other vehicle, has not been released.

Investigation and Legal Considerations: LAPD is investigating the circumstances of the crash, including whether the vehicle making the left turn failed to yield to oncoming traffic, and whether factors such as speed, road conditions, and any potential distractions may have contributed to the crash.

Depending on the outcome of the investigation, Marques’ family may have grounds to file a wrongful death claim. Such a claim could pursue compensation for funeral expenses, emotional grief, and the loss of companionship.

My condolences go out to the loved ones of Timothy Marques during this difficult time.
