Yuba City, CA (July 30, 2025) — A 61-year-old Live Oak man has been identified as the victim of a fatal head-on collision Thursday morning south of Yuba City, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Incident Details: The crash occurred at approximately 8:45 a.m. at the intersection of Highway 99 and Bogue Road. Investigators say Amarjit Singh, 65, of Yuba City, was driving a white Nissan Rogue when it collided head-on with a Harley Davidson motorcycle operated by Timothy Daniel. Singh sustained minor injuries, and his passenger, a 33-year-old man from Yuba City, was uninjured. Daniel was transported by ambulance to Adventist Health/Rideout Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead at 9:18 a.m. Authorities have stated that neither drugs nor alcohol is believed to be a factor in the crash.
Investigation and Legal Considerations: The CHP investigation continues and will focus on determining how Singh’s vehicle came to collide head-on with Daniel’s motorcycle, including whether speed, distraction, or a failure to yield played a role. Evidence such as witness statements, roadway measurements, and vehicle inspections will be key in establishing liability.
Pending the investigation’s findings, the surviving family may have grounds for a wrongful death claim to recover damages for funeral costs, loss of income, and emotional suffering.
My deepest condolences to Timothy Daniel’s family and friends during this difficult time.
