Three-Vehicle Crash Seriously Injures Warren Fasching in Landers

Landers, CA (February 3, 2025) – A serious three-vehicle collision on Old Woman Springs Road at Mikiska Boulevard left Warren Fasching, 23, of Dewey, Arizona, with major injuries.

Accident Details: The crash occurred around 8:17 a.m. Monday. Authorities reported that Diego Figueroa, 35, of Riverside, was driving a 2021 Ford Bronco westbound on Mikiska Boulevard at excessive speed. Figueroa failed to slow at the uncontrolled intersection and drove directly into the path of Fasching’s northbound 2019 Ford F150, which was towing a Toyota 4Runner. The collision pushed both vehicles into a southbound 2007 Winnebago driven by Steven Long, 62, of Vista, towing a box trailer.

All three vehicles sustained significant damage. Fasching was airlifted to Desert Regional Medical Center with severe injuries. Figueroa and Long suffered minor injuries, according to the California Highway Patrol (CHP). Authorities have stated that alcohol is not suspected as a factor in the crash, which remains under investigation.

Legal Considerations: As a personal injury attorney, I find that several aspects of this case warrant further examination. Determining liability in multi-vehicle collisions requires a detailed investigation of driver actions, road conditions, and contributing factors. Key areas of focus include Figueroa’s excessive speed and whether he followed right-of-way laws. California law requires drivers to exercise caution and yield the right-of-way at uncontrolled intersections.

Depending on the investigation results, Fasching may be able to file a personal injury lawsuit if Figueroa is found negligent. Such a claim could seek compensation for medical bills, rehabilitation costs, lost earnings, and other damages. Long may also be able to file a personal injury claim.

I extend my support to Warren Fasching as he recovers from this traumatic accident. My thoughts are with everyone affected by this tragedy.
