Three Critically Injured in Two-Vehicle Crash in Rancho Mirage

Rancho Mirage, CA (May 9, 2025) — A two-vehicle collision Friday morning in Rancho Mirage left three people in critical condition and caused significant traffic delays, according to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department.

Incident Details: The crash occurred just before 10 a.m. at the intersection of Ramon Road and Los Alamos Road. Deputies and emergency responders arrived on the scene and found three individuals suffering from critical injuries. All three were transported to local hospitals for emergency treatment.

Authorities have not yet released the identities of those injured or any information on the type of vehicles involved. The intersection was closed to eastbound traffic, and drivers were asked to avoid the area due to delays and road closures while the scene was cleared and an investigation was initiated.

Investigation and Legal Considerations: The Riverside County Sheriff’s Department is actively investigating the cause of the collision. Officers will likely examine whether factors such as speed, failure to yield, distraction, or traffic signal violations contributed to the crash. Depending on the outcome of the investigation, one or both drivers may face civil liability if found at fault.

Pending the investigation’s findings, those injured may be eligible to file personal injury claims to recover damages for medical expenses, long-term rehabilitation, lost wages, and pain and suffering.

My thoughts are with the injured individuals and their families.
