Two Killed, Five Injured After Tesla Crashes Into Bus in Orange County
Fullerton, CA (April 12, 2025) – Two people were killed and five others injured in a violent crash early Saturday morning after a Tesla ran a red light and slammed into both a pickup truck and an Orange County Transit Authority bus in Fullerton.
Incident Details: According to the Fullerton Police Department, the Tesla was traveling westbound on East Orangethorpe Avenue shortly before 7 a.m. when it failed to stop at a red light. The vehicle collided with a Toyota pickup truck and then careened into a public bus. The female passenger in the Tesla died at the scene, while the male driver was transported to a hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries. Five passengers aboard the OCTA bus sustained minor injuries and were also hospitalized.
Investigation and Legal Considerations: Authorities are still investigating the cause of the crash, including whether alcohol or drugs played a role.
