Hemet, CA (November 10, 2024) – On Sunday, November 10, 2024, Rose Dattoli, 36, of Hemet, tragically lost her life in a pedestrian accident on Stetson Avenue near California Avenue, in the vicinity of the Santiago Palm Vista Mobile Home Park.
Accident Details: According to the Hemet Police Department, the incident occurred shortly after 6:30 p.m. Dattoli stepped into the roadway for unknown reasons in an area lacking marked crosswalks or traffic signals. She was struck by a passing vehicle. The driver immediately stopped to assist and contacted emergency services. Hemet Fire Department paramedics arrived promptly but pronounced Dattoli deceased at the scene.
Investigation: The driver, whose name has not been disclosed, cooperated with investigators and was not arrested. Police have indicated that reckless driving is not suspected in this incident.
