Horry County, SC (April 10, 2025) – A pedestrian was fatally struck by a semi-truck early Thursday morning on Highway 501, between West Perry Road and Legends Drive, according to the Horry County Coroner’s Office.
Incident Details: Emergency crews responded to the scene at approximately 5:48 a.m. The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene from traumatic injuries after being hit by a semi-truck. The incident caused major traffic disruption along the highway for several hours.
