One Killed, Three Injured in Two-Vehicle Crash In South Carolina

Eutawville, SC (March 9, 2025) – A fatal two-vehicle crash on Eutaw Road near Forestry Road claimed the life of one driver and left three others injured on Sunday afternoon. The South Carolina Highway Patrol (SCHP) is investigating the circumstances of the collision.

Incident Overview: The accident occurred at approximately 2:15 p.m. when a 2015 Chevrolet SUV and a 2007 Honda Sedan collided about a mile south of Eutawville. According to SCHP, The Honda sedan veered off the left side of the road, and the Chevrolet SUV veered off the right side, leading to a collision.

The driver of the SUV, who was alone in the vehicle, suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. The Orangeburg County Coroner’s Office has not yet identified the deceased victim.

The Honda sedan’s driver and two passengers were transported to the hospital for medical treatment. Their conditions have not yet been released.

Investigation and Legal Considerations: The investigation is ongoing, and SCHP is working to determine whether driver error, road conditions, or another factor contributed to the crash. Investigators may also examine whether speed, distracted driving, or impairment caused the sedan to leave the roadway before the collision.

Depending on the results of the investigation, the surviving victims or the family of the deceased may have grounds for legal action. Potential wrongful death or personal injury claims could seek compensation for medical expenses, funeral costs, and emotional suffering.

My condolences go out to the family of the deceased driver, and I hope for a full recovery for those injured.
