Bell County, TX (August 3, 2025) — A collision between a commercial vehicle and a passenger car early Sunday morning left one person dead and caused significant traffic delays on Interstate 35, according to the Bell County Sheriff’s Office.
Incident Details: The crash occurred at approximately 3:25 a.m. near the Farm to Market 2482 overpass. Authorities say the impact resulted in at least one fatality. Southbound I-35 was shut down, with traffic redirected to Exit 285, while some northbound lanes were also temporarily closed.
Investigation and Legal Considerations: The Texas Department of Public Safety is leading the investigation to determine what caused the crash. Key factors under review may include whether either driver failed to maintain their lane, was speeding, or was impaired, as well as the role of any mechanical defects.
