Los Angeles, CA (April 20, 2025) – A deadly wrong-way crash involving three vehicles shut down part of the 10 Freeway in downtown Los Angeles early Easter morning, leaving at least one person dead and multiple others injured, according to the California Highway Patrol (CHP).
Accident Details: CHP responded to reports of a wrong-way driver around 5:25 a.m. on the westbound lanes of the 10 Freeway near Central Avenue. The collision involved three vehicles and resulted in at least one fatality. One individual was pronounced dead at the scene, while several others were transported to nearby hospitals with injuries, though their conditions remain unknown.
Traffic on the 10 Freeway came to a complete halt as emergency crews and investigators worked the scene. Two lanes were reopened by 8:30 a.m., with all lanes fully reopened shortly before 9:00 a.m.
