72-Year-Old Man Killed in Head-On Crash Near Olivehurst
Olivehurst, CA (October 3, 2025) – A 72-year-old man from Plumas Lake died Friday night following a head-on collision on Feather River Boulevard near Olivehurst, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Accident Details: Authorities said the crash occurred just before 7:30 p.m. on Feather River Boulevard, south of Myrna Avenue. The 72-year-old man was driving a Chevy S-10 southbound when he crossed into the oncoming lane and collided head-on with a northbound Ford. The impact caused severe damage to both vehicles. Emergency responders pronounced the Chevy driver dead at the scene. A passenger in the Ford sustained major injuries and was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment.
