Motorcyclist Arnulfo Nungaray Found Dead in the Cleveland National Forest

Eastvale, CA (September 22, 2024) – On Sunday, a tragic accident claimed the life of Arnulfo Nungaray, a 20-year-old motorcyclist from Eastvale.

Accident Details: His body was discovered shortly after 4:15 p.m. on Ortega Highway, near the El Cariso Campground in the Cleveland National Forest. Nungaray was found beneath a guardrail in the 30700 block of the highway while his motorcycle had gone about 150 feet over the side of the road.

Investigation: The California Highway Patrol (CHP) is currently investigating the cause of the crash.

Legal Considerations: As a personal injury attorney, I find that several questions warrant further investigation.

  • Was there a defect in the road? If the road was poorly maintained, defects could have played a role in the accident.
  • Could the guardrail have failed? Guardrails are meant to prevent vehicles from veering off dangerous roads. In this case, Nungaray’s motorcycle was found 150 feet over the side of the road, raising concerns about whether the guardrail functioned as it should have.
  • Was there another vehicle involved? Investigators will also consider whether another driver’s negligence might have caused the crash. This investigation could include factors like distracted driving, reckless driving, or even a hit-and-run situation.

These types of questions are critical in determining whether the family of the victim could pursue a wrongful death lawsuit. If another party’s negligence is found to have contributed to the accident, Nungaray’s family could seek compensation for their loss.

Our heartfelt condolences go out to the family and friends of Arnulfo Nungaray during this unimaginable time of grief.
