Sacramento, CA (August 2, 2025) — Three people were killed and another critically injured early Saturday morning in a fiery collision on Roseville Road in Sacramento, where police believe driving under the influence may have been a factor.

Incident Details:  The crash occurred around 12:45 a.m. near Connie Drive and involved a truck and a passenger vehicle. Sacramento police officers nearby heard the impact and responded to find the vehicle engulfed in flames. Two occupants were found dead inside the burning car, while a third victim, who appeared to have been ejected, also died at the scene. The truck’s driver, who is suspected of being impaired, was transported to a hospital in critical but stable condition. The identities of the deceased have not yet been released.

Investigation and Legal Considerations: Authorities continue their thorough investigation, including examining toxicology reports, crash reconstruction, and witness statements to assess the cause of the collision.

Pending the outcome of the investigation, the victims’ families may have grounds for wrongful death claims to recover funeral expenses, loss of financial support, and compensation for emotional suffering.

My condolences to the families and friends of the victims, and I wish the injured survivor a speedy and full recovery.
