Melrose, MN (June 10, 2025) – Two women were injured Tuesday morning in a multi-vehicle traffic accident in Melrose, according to the Minnesota State Patrol.
Incident Details: The crash happened at approximately 7:10 a.m. on Interstate 94 at milepost 135, when a Jeep Liberty, driven by 22-year-old Pijitra Musikapan of Superior, Wisconsin, lost control on the wet road and collided with a Ford Explorer. The Jeep then rolled into the median. A passenger in the Jeep, Rinlita Amornwisanwong, also of Superior, was injured in the crash. Weather conditions were reportedly rainy at the time.
Investigations and Legal Considerations: Both Musikapan and Amornwisanwong were transported to CentraCare Hospital in Melrose with non-life-threatening injuries, according to officials. The incident is under ongoing investigation by the Minnesota State Patrol.
