Bath Township, Ohio (September 10, 2025) — A three-semi crash on Interstate 75 in Bath Township left one truck driver dead and two others injured Wednesday morning, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
Incident Details: The collision happened just after 10 a.m. at the southbound off-ramp to State Route 81. Investigators said a semi driven by Nardini Salvatore of Florida was stopped in traffic, with another semi driven by Jean Fervi of Georgia also stopped ahead. A third semi, operated by 37-year-old Mazen Mammo of Madison Heights, Michigan, struck the back of Salvatore’s truck, forcing it into Fervi’s vehicle. Mammo’s semi caught fire after the impact. Emergency crews pronounced Mammo dead at the scene. Both Salvatore and Fervi suffered minor injuries.
Investigation and Legal Considerations: The crash remains under investigation. Authorities will evaluate whether speed, distracted driving, or fatigue contributed to the deadly chain-reaction crash. Families of victims such as Mammo may pursue wrongful death claims for funeral costs, lost financial support, and emotional damages. Injured survivors, including Salvatore and Fervi, may also file personal injury claims to recover medical expenses and related losses.
I extend my deepest condolences to the family and friends of Mazen Mammo and wish a full recovery to Jean Fervi and Nardini Salvatore.
