Malibu, CA (July 3, 2025) – One person was killed Wednesday afternoon in a two-vehicle collision on Decker Road that resulted in one of the vehicles plunging off a cliff, authorities confirmed.
Accident Details: The crash occurred around 1:00 p.m. on Decker Road (Highway 23), according to the Malibu/Lost Hills Sheriff’s Station. One of the vehicles involved in the collision went over the edge of the cliff. By 4:00 p.m., Decker Road remained closed in both directions between Pacific Coast Highway and Decker Edison Road, according to a Sigalert.
Investigation and Legal Considerations: The Malibu/Lost Hills Sheriff’s Station is investigating the cause of the crash. Authorities will determine whether driver error, speed, or other factors contributed.
