Macon County, IL (April 28, 2025) – A two-vehicle crash involving a semi-truck and a Cadillac resulted in one person being hospitalized Monday morning in Macon County.
Incident Details: Illinois State Police responded to the crash around 9:50 a.m. on US Highway 51, just north of I-72 near Harristown. Investigators said the driver of a Black Cadillac sustained minor injuries and was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment. The driver of a truck-tractor semi-trailer involved in the collision was not injured.
Investigation and Legal Considerations: The cause of the crash remains under investigation by Illinois State Police. Authorities have not released further details, and it is currently unknown whether citations or additional factors such as speed or road conditions played a role.
