Long Beach, CA (June 12, 2025) – A 15-year-old boy was tragically killed Wednesday afternoon after a vehicle crashed into a bus stop in Long Beach, according to police.
Incident Details: The collision occurred just after 1:20 p.m. near Pacific Avenue and 14th Street. A 2007 Toyota Yaris, reportedly speeding southbound on Pacific Avenue, swerved and crashed into the bus stop where the teen was seated. The boy was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the Yaris, a 29-year-old Long Beach man, remained at the scene and cooperated with authorities.
Investigation and Legal Considerations: Long Beach police said speed was a factor in the crash. Investigators have not confirmed whether drugs or alcohol played a role, and the incident remains under investigation. No arrests had been made as of Thursday morning.
