Bakersfield, CA (March 29, 2025) – A 67-year-old woman was killed and two others injured Saturday evening in a multi-vehicle crash on Highway 65, just south of Famoso Road, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Incident Details: Authorities responded to the scene around 7:30 p.m. and found multiple vehicles involved in the collision, one of which caught fire. The victim, identified as Josefa Carter of Bakersfield, was driving one of the vehicles and was pronounced dead at the scene. Two other individuals were transported to a nearby hospital with injuries.
Investigation and Legal Considerations: CHP is continuing to investigate the cause of the crash, which may include factors such as driver error, speed, or mechanical failure.
