Fresno, CA | May 2, 2025 – A man accused of driving under the influence and causing a crash that killed two teenagers in Fresno has pleaded not guilty to multiple charges, including murder.
Incident Details: The deadly crash occurred on April 27 at Friant Road and Shepherd Avenue. Authorities say the suspect, Anthony Carrasco, 20, was speeding and driving under the influence when he ran a red light and collided with another vehicle. The impact killed 17-year-old Jordan Galvez and 18-year-old Maddux Greene, both recent Clovis Unified graduates, who were passengers in Carrasco’s vehicle.
Investigation and Legal Considerations: Carrasco was charged with two counts of murder, gross vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated, DUI causing injury, and reckless driving. He pleaded not guilty to all charges in court on Thursday. According to the Fresno Police Department, Carrasco’s blood alcohol content was 0.11%, and he had a history of reckless driving. Prosecutors allege his actions showed conscious disregard for human life. A pretrial hearing is set for later this month.
