Holbrook, AZ (March 19, 2025) – Five people, including three from Fort Collins, Colorado, were killed in a multi-vehicle crash on Interstate 40 at milepost 294 on March 14. Authorities say the crash was caused by a semi-truck rear-ending an SUV, leading to a chain reaction.
Incident Details: According to the Arizona Department of Public Safety, the crash occurred at approximately 1:34 p.m. in heavy traffic caused by winter storm detours. A semi-truck rear-ended a Cadillac Escalade, triggering a collision that also involved a Jeep Wrangler and another semi-truck. Five people were killed, two others were injured, and one person survived unhurt.
The victims have been identified as:
- Jeet Vikram, 34, of Ozone Park, New York
- Sarah Broyel-Case, 50, of Fort Collins, Colorado
- Adam Mychajliw, 17, of Scottsdale, Arizona
- Sophia Case, 17, of Fort Collins, Colorado
- Samuel Case, 51, of Fort Collins, Colorado (who passed away in the hospital on March 19)
