Henderson, Kentucky (April 12, 2026) — A 66-year-old man was killed, and a 21-year-old passenger was injured, on Sunday afternoon in a collision involving a Ford Bronco and a semi-truck in Henderson, according to authorities.
Officials identified the deceased as James Jobe. Authorities said Jason Jobe, 21, was a passenger in the Bronco and was taken to an Evansville hospital in stable condition.
The crash happened around 2:00 p.m. at Borax and Green Street.
Incident Details: According to Kentucky State Police, the initial investigation shows that a Ford Bronco driven by James Jobe was struck on the driver’s side at the intersection by a semi-truck driven by 55-year-old Lester Jones, who was traveling eastbound on Green Street.
James Jobe died at the scene. Jason Jobe was transported to a hospital in Evansville for treatment and was reported to be in stable condition. Authorities said Lester Jones was not injured.
Public reporting has not yet provided additional details on which vehicle entered the intersection first or on the traffic controls in place at the time of the crash.
Investigation: Kentucky State Police are continuing to investigate the collision. Authorities said investigators and reconstructionists have not yet determined fault.
