Ignacio A. Perez Killed in Motorcycle Crash with Diesel Truck in Fontana

Fontana, CA (February 19, 2025) – Ignacio A. Perez, 28, of Fontana, tragically died in a motorcycle collision with a diesel truck in Fontana.

Accident Details: The accident occurred on Slover Avenue near Cherry Avenue at approximately 2:30 p.m. According to reports, Perez was riding his Harley Davidson Softail Deluxe on his way to work when he collided with a diesel truck at the intersection. He was transported to Arrowhead Regional Medical Center but died shortly after.

Legal Considerations: As a personal injury attorney, I find that several aspects of this case warrant further examination.

  • Right-of-Way: Because the accident occurred at an intersection, the primary focus of the investigation will be to determine who had the right-of-way.
  • Analyze the Accident Scene: Authorities will review surveillance footage from nearby businesses and traffic cameras to reconstruct the sequence of events. They will also analyze skid marks, debris patterns, and vehicle damage to determine the speed and trajectory of both vehicles.
  • Mechanical Failure: The Harley Davidson and the diesel truck should be inspected to rule out any brake failure or mechanical defects that could have contributed to the crash.
  • Driver Behavior: Investigators will evaluate driver behavior to determine whether either was speeding, distracted, fatigued, or impaired.

When an investigation determines negligence was the cause of a fatal accident, the victim’s family may have grounds to file a wrongful death claim.

I extend my deepest condolences to Ignacio A. Perez’s family and friends. Those wishing to support the Perez family during this difficult time can donate via their GoFundMe page.
