Henry County, IL (August 28, 2025) – A semi-truck accident involving a passenger car shut down a lane of Interstate 74 in Henry County Thursday morning.
Accident Details: According to Illinois State Police, the crash happened around 7:17 a.m. in the westbound lanes of I-74 at mile marker 8. The semi-truck rolled over into a ditch while the car came to rest in the median. Authorities confirmed that minor injuries were reported in the crash. One lane of westbound I-74 was closed as crews worked to clear the wreckage.
Investigation: Troopers are investigating the cause of the crash. Factors under review include driver behavior, traffic conditions, and roadway safety at the time of the collision.
